In 2026, consolidated budget revenues are forecast at around 45 billion manats, and expenditures at 48.8 billion manats. The ratio of the consolidated budget deficit to GDP stands at 2.9 percent.
According to AZERTAC, this was stated by Prime Minister Ali Asadov in his speech at the plenary session of the Milli Majlis on December 9.
The Prime Minister stated that, according to macroeconomic forecasts, in 2026 the real GDP growth of the non-oil sector is projected at 5 percent. With the exception of oil and gas extraction, all sectors of the country’s economy are expected to grow.
“In the medium term, the leading force of our economy will be the non-oil sector. If at the beginning of the Strategy’s implementation — in 2022 — the non-oil sector accounted for 52% of GDP (72% in 2025), then in 2029 this ratio will exceed 80%,” he added.
