Caspian Energy (CE): How has the idea of creating the Dreamland Country & Life project started up?
Abdolbari Goozal, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Azersun Holding: The two projects, one that I saw in Dubai (the United Arab Emirates) and Legacy Village in the USA, which I had seen, made me feel inspired and dream. The ideas framed within these two grandiose projects encouraged me to undertake this step. Trade centers, cafes and restaurants in Legacy Village, golf links, villas and apartments in Dubai, aroused the idea of combining them within one project. So, an idea came into my mind to establish a new lifestyle in Azerbaijan.
CE: In your opinion, what does the Dreamland Country & Life project feature?
Abdolbari Goozal: Though the Dreamland Country & Life project is generally recognized in developed countries of the world, for Azerbaijan it is quite a new gated community project representing a new lifestyle interpreted as an “enclosed safe city”. It is not simply a project offering the sale of villas and apartments. It is a space where people can enjoy a modern lifestyle. It is a city of sports and clean air as well. Dreamland Country & Life is a small town where people, without leaving the area, have all necessary infrastructure at their disposal.
Sabis Sun international school complex, a golf course, which can host international golf tournaments, golf academy and training zones, sport and health centers, cafes and restaurants, commercial facilities, villas and apartments, put on sale, constitute a component part of the Dreamland Country & Life project. In addition to the above-mentioned, medical and business centers, “Asan Xidmət” center and other vitally important organizations are to be arranged here in future. The project, covering 330 hectares, is close to the city center but still far away from the stress of urban life.
Greenery covers over 2 mln square meters of the area while blue lakes account for 80,000 square meters. This place is considered the most ecologically clean area of Baku. It has its microclimate generated by rare exotic flora.
CE: How long does it take to have such a broad-scale project implemented? What importance is attached to the quality of used construction and other materials?
Abdolbari Goozal: Improvement and development of the project idea which arose in 2006 has certainly taken some time. Major construction operations started in 2013. Issues concerning long-term projection, feasibility preparation and detailed engineering had been solved prior to the construction. Considering the scale and assigned tasks, it was necessary to form a skilled team for this project. One of the major conditions was to conduct necessary trainings. Project managers, professional and skilled specialists had been involved in the project before the construction operations began. Such approach can be assessed as fulfillment of half of the work.
Dreamland Country & Life is a premium project. Products, used in the construction, have been selected very carefully. Investors of the Dreamland Country & Life project have worked out a quality policy as the most well-known and high quality construction materials are used during the erection of facilities. CE: Which achievements are noteworthy over the period of operation of the Dreamland project?
Abdolbari Goozal: First of all it stands to mention that the Dreamland Country & Life project shapes a new lifestyle concept. It can be assessed as already gained success. Golf has become a part of life of Baku. Nowadays one can see small Azeri children taking golf classes in the academy of golf, which opens the door to see Azerbaijan in international golf tournaments in near future. It is also a contribution to the development of sports. Sabis Sun International School Complex has introduced the Sabis system in Azerbaijan, which is recognized in over 60 countries of the world. Our country has also entered this list.
The Dreamland project along with its subdivisions and their activity has created a platform for Azerbaijan’s recognition all over the world, and we are certainly proud of it.
CE: When will life begin in Dreamland Country & Life? What are the terms of payment?
Abdolbari Goozal: Dreamland Country & Life has been operating thanks to Sabis Sun international school complex, Dreamland golf club, cafes and restaurants. Guests are being hosted on a high level here.
2016 has been announced a year of life start in Dreamland Country & Life. It means that everyone, who purchases an apartment or villa from the next year, will be able to move to a new residence. The entire infrastructure is planned to be commissioned by that time.
Very acceptable sale terms are being offered at present. There are conditions for making beneficial initial payment maturing in 5 years, under low interest rates. A sales center, where clients can have answers for all questions that interest them as well as get familiarized with an area of location of apartments and villas, is operating. The goal of the operation of the center is to give clients a complete idea of the grandiosity of the project.
The concept of a 5-6 storied Golf Villa Aparts with a broad terrace fascinates all visitors. There are social sections, gardens with a special landscape as well as playgrounds for children.
