Azpetrol Ltd., which has become one of the most valuable national brands in the country’s economy, has successfully completed last year too. Nowadays Azpetrol is number one among companies, engaged in retail petrol trade in Azerbaijan, and always moves beyond by considering further development options. Expansion of the filling station chain, especially in regions is of great importance in terms of creation of permanent working places. It is noteworthy that Azpetrol is currently providing services to the residents of the capital through 18 filling stations, 4 gas filling stations operating in Baku. The substantial part of the retail network, including 63 petrol stations and one gas filling station are operating in the regions.
The main business of Azpetrol, which joined in the country’s economy after the launch of the first petrol station in Baku on July 15, 1997, is to carry out retail and wholesale fuel trade via the chain of petrol and gas filling stations.
The company has 81 filling stations and 5 gas filling stations operating at present and equipped with the most advanced facilities.
In 1999 Azpetrol launched an oil terminal fully meeting the modern standards in order to enhance the quality and secure stable supply of filling stations. The oil terminal has been equipped with electronic equipment of advanced European countries, fire-fighting, security and fuel’s quality control systems.
In 1999 the company commissioned a vehicle fleet to transport fuel as well as provide timely and uninterrupted fuel supply to petrol and gas filling stations. The motor car park has 110 fuel transportation vehicles which meet international standards and are ready to leave at any time.
Nowadays Azpetrol is providing its clients the following types of fuel: AI-92, Premium Euro-95 gasoline, diesel fuel and liquid gas (propane-butane). Customer-specific services are provided promptly and on a high level.
Apart from this, clients can enjoy services of café, markets, car-wash, motels and other types of services provided at petrol and gas filling stations of the company. It is noteworthy that Azpetrol is one of the biggest employers. There are over 3200 people working for the company at present.
To create comfortable conditions and meet high quality fuel needs of customers living in regions, this year Azpetrol has opened 4 new filling stations, designed in a modern style, by using contemporary technologies. These stations feature high level service as there is a motel operating within each filling station. New motels have all comfort facilities and the company hopes that clients will be satisfied.
Opening of new filling stations in Beylagan, Ganja, Mingechevir and Samuh districts is of big importance in terms of opening of permanent working places. There are 35, 28 and 40 new permanent working places opened in Beylagan, Samuh and Ganja respectively. The top priority business line of Azpetrol is to secure population’s employment through opening of new working places in regions.
Azpetrol Company has been awarded the following diplomas and prizes by local and international organizations: Business prestige, International gold star for quality, Queen Victoria commemorative medal, Best Enterprise, Caspian Energy Integration Award, Company of the Year, Azeri Business Award, Quality Summit Award, International Quality Crown, etc. The most significant among them is the Mingechevir city filling station’s becoming a winner of the award, announced by “Modern Filling Station” journal in 2015, in the “Best Filling Station in CIS” category.
At the prize awarding ceremony, hosted in Turkey’s capital Istanbul on April 14, 2014, official ISO - International Organization for Standardization representative presented Azpetrol the following certificates: ISO 9001:2008 (quality management system), ISO:14001 (environmental management system) and OHSAS:18001 (HSE management system).
Azpetrol has its HSE management system developed and adopted in accordance with the state’s current strategy in this area. Appropriate technical passport has been issued for each facility. In the field of environmental impact assessment the company cooperates with firms which it implements joint projects with.
As early as March 2002 Azpetrol introduced a Smart Card non-cash payment system, meeting international standards, in order to improve services and comfort of clients. As the number of clients using these types of services is increasing every day, the company decided to replace this system with Petrol Plus Online system meeting all modern requirements of information technologies and security. This measure was taken to provide comfortable, quality and reliable services.
To provide comfort of clients and guests there are Azpetrol motels operating and providing high level services in Sheki, Balakan, Gazakh, Gusar, Beylagan districts as well as Ganja and Mingechevir cities. Guests are offered with luxe and semi-luxe rooms provided with high comfort. Motels’ guests enjoy free Wi-Fi internet.
