Caspian Energy (CE): What hopes do you stake on EXPO-2017 in terms of attraction of investments into Kazakhstan?
Jenis Kasymbek, Minister for Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan: A number of measures aimed at improving investment cooperation between Kazakhstan and foreign investors have been taken within the framework of the EXPO-2017 international exhibition.
These measures promoted further strengthening of bilateral cooperation, exchange of experience for attraction of investments, development and implementation of mutually beneficial joint projects in the most different sectors, coordination of the investment activity and tapping of promising markets, expansion of contacts between the small and medium businesses, and strengthening of intra-regional relations.
Over 20 commercial agreements worth about $1bln have been signed so far.
