Azneft PU intends to increase output at highly prospective fields
Dashgin Iskenderov, General Director of Azneft PU

Caspian Energy (CE): Mr. Iskenderov, could you please tell about the results of PU’s activities since the beginning of this year?

Dashgin Iskenderov, General Director of Azneft PU: Over the past four months significant work has been done at Azneft Production Union to improve economic performance, boost production and put new technologies in practice.

Azneft Production Union fulfilled the oil and gas production plan for January-April 2017. At the same time, additional oil and gas output was ensured at the wells as a result of geological and technical measures taken by the Azneft’s personnel.

Since the beginning of this year Azneft PU has produced 2 million 39.9 thousand tonnes of oil and 1 billion 693 million 136 thousand cubic meters of gas.

In parallel, work was carried out to put the fields into full-scale operation and drill new wells. So, for the last four months 19 wells were drilled and put into operation according to the order of Azneft Production Union. 10,573 extra tonnes of oil was produced as a result of drilling new wells.

In the period under review 39 wells out of the idling well stock were actually commissioned instead of planned 19 wells, which secured additional 10,385 tonnes of oil.

One of the key factors that secured these achievements was the use of the producing well stock in the optimal mode and implementation of effective technical and geological measures. So, 209 geological measures have been implemented since the beginning of this year. As a result, 44,900 tonnes of oil were produced. This is by 42 measures and 17,770 tonnes of oil more than planned. At the same time, as a result of the implemented technical and technological measures, 17,225 tonnes of oil were produced vs. the planned 13,274 tonnes.
